Competition Program

Sports and special events

Nine sporting disciplines are listed individually below, together with the Battle of the Bands special event.

Basketball

Men: minimum 10 players; no maximum

Volleyball

Men and women: minimum 6 players per team; no maximum

Soccer

Mixed: minimum 9 players; no maximum

Tennis

Exactly 2 players per Men’s, Women’s, or Mixed Doubles entry

Badminton

Exactly 2 players per Men’s, Women’s, or Mixed Doubles entry

Pickleball

Exactly 2 players per Men’s, Women’s, or Mixed Doubles entry

Bowling

Up to 10 players; best 5 scores averaged for team scoring

Chess

Minimum 3 players per team; no maximum

Golf

Individual registration with no delegation cap; best 5 net scores determine the team average

Battle of the Bands

Special non-scoring event; one entry per delegation

Step-by-step Registration Guide

Build and submit your official National Games roster.

National Games registration is managed by designated Chapter and Regional Delegation Heads. Individual players do not register themselves directly; they coordinate with their Chapter and confirm their participation through their own MyIBP account.

Assigned heads may now open the roster portal and follow the guide below.

  1. Registration Open

    The National Games portal is live

    Assigned Chapter and Regional Delegation Heads may sign in and begin preparing their official rosters.

  2. Who may register

    Delegation Heads submit the official roster

    Only designated Chapter and Regional Delegation Heads can prepare and submit rosters. Individual players coordinate with their IBP Chapter.

  3. Before you register

    Confirm every participant's IBP roll number

    A valid IBP roll number is required for every participant before the roster can be prepared and checked.

  4. Competition program

    Register each participant by sport

    Select one or more eligible sports for each participant. Every chosen sport is recorded as a separate roster entry for validation.

  5. Five-step process

    Assign, prepare, confirm, validate, and pay

    The assigned head prepares the roster, the system validates eligibility and tracks any pre-play consent follow-up, then the head completes payment.

    Open the roster portal in MyIBP

    Use the assigned Delegation Head account to access the National Games portal and begin preparing the official roster.

Representation Rules

A clear record for every participant

  • A person may represent a chapter or a region for the entire Games, never both.
  • Regional entries are normally multi-chapter teams and do not include individual entries. The Committee-approved consolidated GMR delegation may submit individual entries and same- or cross-Chapter regional teams and pairs.
  • A same-region player may represent another Chapter. Any required consent from the President of the player's home Chapter may be submitted before the player competes.
  • Missing cross-Chapter consent is tracked internally and does not block roster submission or payment for the 2026 National Games.
  • IBP dues or good-standing issues are recorded for reference and do not block National Games registration, admission, or payment.
  • Coaches may be non-IBP members. Athletes, coaches, managers, and non-athlete delegates are included in the payable delegate count.
  • Only roster exceptions and other substantive rule conflicts proceed to Committee review before payment.
